Doing Our Part During The Coronavirus Pandemic

I don't really know how to start this post. This time has been surreal and so crazy on so many levels. Trying to stay sane, stay home, keep the kids entertained, home schooling, trying not to stress about business and the state of the wedding industry - all these things are challenging and super stressful. We are blessed that we made it home from Switzerland, that we are healthy, that Tony and I are used to working from home and together on a daily basis - all these things make life easier during the coronavirus pandemic.

We, like every other photographer on the planet, are at a standstill waiting for the time we can work again. We have been trying so hard to figure out a way to stay creative, keep busy and give back. As some of you know, we run a commercial studio called LBLstudio for company headshots, product photography, online videos, promotional photo & video, actor headshots etc etc.

So, what can we do during the Coronavirus Pandemic?

Brentwood Classics is a furniture client of ours and is one of the amazing businesses in Ontario that has been able to repurpose their furniture factory to produce masks. They contacted us about photographing their new non-medical masks and we were happy to volunteer our time and services to the cause ... it was a small thing we could do during this pandemic, but it made us feel great knowing we had something to contribute. It's amazing how having a bit of normalcy in your life, like being able to take pictures, makes you feel so good!

The cool thing about these non-medical masks is that they are machine washable, reusable, and available in adult and kids sizes. The best part – for every pack of masks purchased, Brentwood will donate masks to frontline workers in Ontario.

We photographed the masks in our home studio and enjoyed every moment of feeling "normal" again!

I even got to be the model for the adult size mask! Super strange to be on the other side of the camera! But forced me to do my hair, dress nice LOL - a nice change of pace for sure.

Be sure to visit Brentwood Classics and purchase a set if you are in need of masks!
