Hockley Valley Resort and Tree Farm Wedding

The moment we saw this family, our hearts melted. Shannon and Colin have the most adorable two little girls and we could feel the love and joy of this family the moment we met them. All the way from Collingwood, this family decided to have their popup microwedding at Hockley Valley Resort as well as the Tree Farm down the road. This provided for a fabulously rustic and barn style feel to an elegant and sophisticated wedding.

The wedding began with a lunch for their family and friends. These days there is no norm to weddings LOL. Why not, turn a wedding on it's head and start with lunch followed by first dance, and then by ceremony and photos. We love unique ideas and were thrilled to be part of their wedding plans. Once lunch and speeches were complete, Shannon and Colin headed to the bridal suites to change and prep for the ceremony.

Shannon changed into her wedding dress in one of Hockley Valley Resort's stunning bridal suites. The flower girls stole the show with cuteness overload! The ceremony was held in a beautiful patio tent allowing for a beautiful breeze, stunning light and an intimate ceremony setting.

With the ceremony and champagne toast done (including fancy apple juice for the flower girls!), the late afternoon light was just perfect for family formals in the front of Hockley Valley Resort's famous front entrance rotunda, followed by more photos at the Hockley Valley Tree Farm.

Shannon let us know that not only did they want photos at Hockley Valley Resort, but their friends organized a Christmas Tree farm location down the road. Let just say, we at Little Blue Lemon are huge fans of winter and we would NEVER say no to a Christmas tree farm!!! The farm had that rustic barn wedding look which we adore. This tree farm literally has it all; there was so much to shoot!

Hockley Valley Micro Weddings are offered on specific Pop Up Event dates. We have partnered with the resort to provide couples with our photography services. We love candid, emotional and epic story telling photography :)

Hockley Valley Resort is a premier venue for golf, golf resort weddings, vineyard weddings and is especially stunning during the fall with all the red and orange trees.
