A sunset engagement shoot in Toronto

We are loving the fact that our couples are choosing to do their engagement photos, despite having to move or adjust their wedding plans. Let's be honest, so many - SOOOO many - weddings have postponed to 2021 or have decided to do smaller elopements, which has left us craving creativity! So when our couples are keen to continue with their engagement photoshoots, we're like "heck YA!"

We photographed Stephanie and Alex at Earl Bales Park in Toronto. This little gem of a park has so much to offer - from trails, to hills, to ponds, and trees - so much space means very few people and lots of nature! If you are looking for engagement shoot ideas and locations in Toronto, whether it be during the last few weeks of summer or heading into fall, Earl Bales is worth a look!

We are super excited to be photographing Stephanie & Alex's wedding and really, we can't wait for next year to capture these two beautiful people.

When we photograph engagement sessions, we are always looking for a mix of portraits and candids. Having those giggly moments is so key for us as it captures the personality and interaction of a couple. If you are not sure if you should do an engagement shoot - think about this: for most couples, it's not normal to be followed around by someone holding a camera, capturing your day. An engagement shoot is a fabulous way to get comfortable in front of the camera and get a feel for what it's like to have your photos taken by a professional, so once your wedding day comes around, you will be "posing" like a pro!
