Charming Microwedding In Beautiful Muskoka

We are so over the moon thrilled that our couples are choosing to still get married, despite the Covid-19 restrictions. There are so many fabulous micro wedding ideas that make these intimate style weddings so unique and lovely. As Toronto wedding photographers, we are of course used to BIG weddings, with lots of people and crazy parties. That can't happen right now, but what's amazing is how creative our wedding couples have been with their microwedding locations, decor and ideas.

Sarah and Josh chose to host a lovely and intimate ceremony, lakeside at their grandmother's cottage in Muskoka. Such a beautiful lakefront property with so much history and family love. To photograph a couple in a space that is truly theirs, where so many memories have been made, makes a wedding so extra special.

We skipped the getting ready stuff and began just before the ceremony. We were greeted by their four adorable dogs, 3 fully dressed in purple tutu's and one in a tux - ahhhhh, get's us every time.

With the ceremony complete, we captured all the family photos in a beautiful green space by the cottage. Whenever we do family photos, we try to find a nice shady spot to avoid squinting and the hot sun. We think family photos get a bad wrap when really they don't have too. These photos can be fun and candid in addition to the formals that parents tend to love :)

Once the family photos were complete, we were so excited to begin the romantics. Come-on, shooting in Muskoka is a dream! We explored all the outdoor spaces around the cottage and then headed across the lake to another spot that Sarah and Josh love. Being on the water was zen. You can tell how much Sarah and Josh love this place... they were at ease, so happy and it was obvious how perfect this spot was for their wedding.

And we finished the wedding off with the sweetest reception, stunning sunset and sparklers!
