One King West is a beautiful, classic venue – an old bank converted into a hotel and wedding reception venue in downtown Toronto. Complete with an original vault in the basement, this stunning venue has a hotel attached so it's perfect for couples looking to do everything in one place: from getting your wedding party ready, to hosting your ceremony, cocktails, and then reception.
Both Cydney and Josh got ready at the hotel. All photos, ceremony and reception were done in and around One King West, making for a stunning wedding day with absolutely no travel. We started the day capturing Josh and his groomsmen getting ready - check out the fantastic James Bond Cufflinks!
With the boys complete, we headed to capture Cydney and her bridesmaids. Hair and makeup was done by the super talented Jen Evoy. We got right to shooting details including the incredible wedding dress that Cydney helped design and of course our gorgeous bride. The beautiful flower arrangement was created by Ashton Creative.
Because the ceremony and reception were back to back, we did a first look so that we could fully explore the hotel and grounds, without worrying too much about time. Laura & Co Events made sure everything ran smoothly and kept everyone on track. Becaues, it had just started to rain, we decided to do the first look indoors and then explore the incredible bank vault, the 15th floor rooftop as well as the stunning gold staircase. Once Cydney and Josh saw each other, you could feel the emotion, the excitement and the love.
The ceremony was truly heartfelt, held in the Austin Gallery on the 12th floor. We love working with Sarah Boyer Messenger, who created a beautiful ceremony. The vows were wonderful, hand-written, and that kiss at the end was what everyone was waiting for! Next to the ceremony area is a wonderful space called the Chairman Boardroom, perfect for indoor family photos.
After family photos, everyone headed down to the the Banking Hall for the reception. The decor was spectacular with blush, pink and red tones and they even had a chocolate painting that everyone would enjoy as part of desert. If you haven't seen it before, check out Make Lab where guests have a photo taken and their image is then transferred onto a macaron to take home and eat!!! Super SUPER cool!
To end the night we headed outside for some night photography - what a way to end! GORGEOUS!!! Congrats Cydney and Josh!!!
