Weddings are coming back!

We are so excited to share the news!!! Ontario weddings are coming back. Being wedding photographers in Toronto, we have been at a standstill since March because of Covid-19. We have been eagerly awaiting the news about when weddings will be allowed again in Ontario. Most of Ontario is in Stage 2 and we are hoping that Toronto will be included shortly! But some amazing news came on Saturday - As of Saturday June 13, 2020, Ontario has increased the number of guests allowed at wedding ceremonies. Indoor wedding ceremonies will now be allowed up to 30% of the indoor venue capacity OR 50 people at outdoor wedding ceremonies, with physical distancing in place. Wedding receptions are still capped at 10 people for now.

This allows for smaller scale weddings, intimate ceremonies and elopements to start happening here - just in time for summer and fall. There are so many lovely wedding venues that can host these type of gatherings - from outdoor barn spaces, vineyards, halls, and even backyard events. It's a lovely way to celebrate love especially now that social circles have been introduced - allowing those in your 10 person circle to hug and enjoy one another from a close distance.

This is all a very exciting step forward. We have missed photographing weddings and can't wait to celebrate with our couples again. This is the first step of many, we are sure. Alberta has increased its limit to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors for receptions and ceremonies AND some European countries, like Switzerland are already allowing 300 person gatherings.... So with time, we are certain, Ontario will catch up!

So we are doing our own photography "Happy Dance" over here as we cannot wait to get back to shooting joy, love and merriment! Get in touch if you are thinking of hosting a smaller scale wedding ceremony - 2020 dates have now opened up due to postponements ... so your dream wedding date may now be available :)
